APC Says National Convention Will Now Be Held in March | The Guardian Nigeria News

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Interim and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) approved March 26 for the party’s national convention.

Senator John Akpankudohede, National Secretary, CECPC, APC said this when speaking to reporters shortly after the committee’s closed meeting in Abuja on Monday.

Akpankudohede said National Convention activities will start on February 24
“After deliberation and agreement with the CECPC, we have agreed and approved that the activities of the National Convention of the party will begin on February 24 and end on March 26 in Eagle Square with the National Convention.

“Between the convention, we agreed to have zone conventions,” he said.

Akpankudohede said the congresses would be held in accordance with the schedule and schedule of events published by the party.

“Thursday, February 24, publication of the zone committees. Saturday, February 26, meeting of zonal actors.

“From Monday February 28 to Thursday March 3, sales of forms for zonal posts. On Saturday March 5, screening of zonal aspirants.

“Sunday, March 6, Screening Appeal. Tuesday, March 8, adoption of the screening report.

“Saturday, March 12, zone convention. Monday, March 14, call for zonal conventions.

“Wednesday, March 16, adoption of the appeal report,” he said.

Akpankudohede added: Monday February 28th National Convention sub-committees release. From Wednesday March 9 to Friday March 11, Sales of Forms.

“From Tuesday March 15 to Thursday March 17, screening of aspirants, Saturday March 19, screening on call. Monday, March 21, adoption of the appeal report.

“From Thursday March 24 to Friday March 25, accreditation. Saturday March 26, Congress.
“Tuesday, March 29 Convention Call. Wednesday, March 30 Adoption of the appeal report. “Thursday, March 31, Inauguration.”

Akpankudohede said the planned activities were in line with Article 12.6 of the APC Constitution.
