Nigeria’s ruling party, the Congress of All Progressives (APC), has begun selling forms to aspiring candidates for various positions on its National Working Committee (NWC).
Although unofficial, a source within the party said the party leadership, at its 25th regular meeting on Monday, agreed and adopted a schedule of activities ahead of its March 26 national convention.
The party’s interim leadership has also introduced fees for various offices.
In a document seen by PREMIUM TIMES on Tuesday, the ruling party set the form cost for its presidential seat at 20 million naira while aspirants vying for the vice presidential seats are expected to get their form with 10 million naira each.
As shown in the document signed by the director of the party’s organization, Al-Mustapha Medaner, the candidates have between March 14 and 18 to obtain the forms.
With the recent approval of the zoning of the APC presidential headquarters in the central north, only five of the 13 known candidates could end up testing their popularity at the convention.
The five aspirants include a sitting senator and two Nasarawa governors, Tanko Al-Makura; George Akume, Sani Musa, Saliu Mustapha and Abdullahi Adamu, another former Nasarawa State Governor and sitting Senator.
PREMIUM TIMES can confirm that Mr. Mustapha collected the nomination form for the presidential seat on Tuesday.

The convention call and adoption of the call report have been approved by the CPA leadership to be held on March 29 and March 30, respectively.
