IPL 2022: The fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League is finally over. The two-month season which started on March 26 ended on May 29 at Narendra Modi Stadium.

It has been a fascinating season with two new teams entering the Indian Premier League fold. There was so much hype surrounding the expansion of the IPL with the inclusion of two new teams.

The two new teams, Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans, did not disappoint us as they then put in a great performance. Lucknow Super Giants reached the playoffs while Gujarat Titans won the IPL trophy.

Gujarat Titans won the IPL trophy in their first IPL season. It’s a luxury for teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals who have been there from the start but couldn’t even lift the trophy once.

While major teams like Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians played their worst season in the IPL. Mumbai Indians finished in last position with eight points from 14 games while Chennai Super Kings finished in second to last position.

They too were only able to keep eight points in 14 games. For other teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, it was yet another forgettable season as usual.

Omran Malik

The Indian cricket team needs someone who could play with 150+ speed on overseas tours. Umran Malik showed consistency with speed. He’s more likely to get a national call soon.

Avesh Khan

The Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler may soon get a chance in Indian Game 11. Most likely, he will be called up for the series against Ireland this month.

Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik has performed impressively with consistency this IPL season. He acted as a finisher for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Dinesh Karthik has scored 218 runs in 10 innings this season.

Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya has come back stronger this season with superior batting and bowling performance. The coaches and the management of the team could recall him very soon to the national team.

Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh has been consistent with high performances at death bowling for a few seasons. India lacks a strong death bowling team and Arshdeep Singh could be groomed for a role in the national team.
