ORLANDO, Fla. — People across the country marched for gun control on Saturday.

March For Our Lives is calling for changes to gun laws.

Organizers said there have been nearly 250 mass shootings so far this year in the US

The March For Our Lives Orlando group said it wants US leaders to do something about gun violence.

Locally, it is also linked to the “Day of Hope” of the Boys & Girls Club.

This is the second March For Our Lives gathering. The first was organized in 2018 by student protesters after the mass shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Today, thousands of people across the country and in central Florida are back after mass shootings in Uvalde, Texas, and Buffalo, New York.

Nationwide, there are marches in approximately 300 locations.

The United States House of Representatives has passed bills that would raise the age limit for purchasing a semi-automatic weapon and establish red flag laws.
