After two virtual events during the pandemic, the 2022 Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) National Convention is back on the ground with Rex Education and a strong delegation of educators, school leaders and superintendents from all over the country.
The theme, “Pilgrims of Hope on the way to Synodality”, is inspired by the motto of the Holy Year 2025, “Pilgrims of Hope”, which represents the theme of the pontificate of Pope Francis.
“Educating is always an act of hope, an act that calls for cooperation to transform sterile and crippling indifference into another way of thinking that recognizes our interdependence,” Pope Francis said in his Global Compact message on education in October 2020.
Building on the theme of the CEAP 2022 National Convention, the Rex Education Hub was created for delegates to gain insight into the lifelong learning journey of every Filipino learner by rediscovering the diverse range of REX solutions , from early childhood education to professional development.
“The journey of life is a journey of learning. At REX, we support Pope Francis and CEAP’s vision for synodality, where every Filipino moves as one for every learner, to be empowered, equipped and defended,” said Don Timothy Buhain, CEO of Rex Education.
“Through the Rex Education Hub at CEAP 2022, we hope to have shown, once again, that we are here to support every learner at every stage of their journey,” he added.
Within the framework of Early Childhood Education (ECE), REX showcased its educational book titles, grounded in socio-emotional, linguistic and cognitive skills reflected in the six development domains of the National Early Learning Framework ( NELF) by the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council.
In response to learners’ need to learn more about Philippine history, Rex launched “My Bayani” – a series of storybooks that feature Filipino heroes to inspire self-analysis and reflection.
Other learning solutions such as “My Skill Builder”, “My Career Journey” and “Laro, Likha, Linang” are additional and equally comprehensive materials that further support Filipino learners throughout their learning journey. learning.
Additionally, after the pandemic bolstered digital solutions in education, REX offers Schoology, a learning management system, and standardized assessments such as Digital Aces and Harrison Assessments as great tools that help shape learners who are ready for the demands of the 21st century.
As a lifelong learning partner for law students and practitioners, REX creates not only books, but also opportunities for mentorship and discussion or conversation. A book signing with Atty. Joseph Noel Estrada, author of the Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers, took place on site on October 27, 2022.
As learning continues beyond formal education, REX’s suite of professional learning materials is for those looking to enhance their journey and contribute to nation building. Along with various legal documents, REX’s solutions include the Barangay Handbook designed for public servants to help them advance their knowledge and skills in performing their duties for the benefit of their constituents.
REX’s annual participation in the CEAP 2022 National Convention is a renewal of the company’s commitment to championing education and being the lifelong learning partner for every learner.
“As Edukampyons, we always protect, respect and meet the needs of every Filipino learner. We can only do this when we work with our educators, school leaders and administrators, and stakeholders – our fellow Edukampyons, who can help us move forward for progressive education for our nation,” said Buhain.
