FCT, Abuja- The PDP New Generation has called on the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to ensure the inclusion of young people in the planning committee for the party’s national convention.

The request was made in a statement sent to Legit.ng on Friday May 13 by the Group’s Managing Director, Audu Mahmood.

Part of the statement read:

“As we congratulate the appointed leaders of the National Convention Organizing Committee, we are using this medium to also call for the inclusion of young people. The young people of the PDP are willing and ready to participate and contribute to the political process of our great party.

“The new generation of PDP passed a ‘vote of confidence’ on the ability of the national working committee under the chairmanship of Senator Iyorchia Ayu to lead our party to victory in the 2023 general election.

“The PDP is known for holding organized and peaceful conventions and conventions, we want to take this opportunity to speak to our delegates across all 36 states and the FCT; to vote for their choice, their conscience, and the top candidates in the upcoming national convention and state primaries.

Recall that the PDP New Generation said on Wednesday, April 20, that Nigerians deserve a certificate in 2023 for surviving the hardships caused by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) party.

Mahmood made the comment during a press briefing in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The group also said ministers who served Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari are expected to return to their respective homes on May 29, 2023, when the APC-led administration ends.
