The People’s Redemption Party will hold its national convention on December 11, 2021.
The party’s national organizing secretary, Alhaji Sule Kankara, made the revelation in Katsina on Tuesday during an interview with reporters.
He said arrangements have been made for the convention.
He added that the party informed the Independent National Electoral Commission, security agencies and other stakeholders of the decision to hold the convention.
Kankara also disclosed that the PRP now has new leadership in Katsina State after last Saturday’s congress.
According to him, the state congress was held in Dandagoro in the Batagarawa local government area of the state.
He said eleven positions were up for Congress where Hassan Kankara was elected as the party’s new state chairman.
Mallam Lawal Rimaye was elected Party Secretary of State while Aisha Lawal was elected Head of State.
Among those present at the congress were Professor Aliyu Jibiya of Bayero University in Kano; Alhaji Abdurrahman Abdallah, Mallam Abu Yaradua, Alhaji Aliyu Tsauri and Alhaji Musa Kankara.
Congress was also attended by INEC officials in the state as well as security agencies.
